Cora After a Nap
From Stan, while I was judging 4H foods at the county fair:
Cora woke up from a nap and couldn't stop laughing, giggling and smiling at Alex and Sharkie. Then she realized she was sitting on my lap!
Daddy & Cora
These two love each other so much! The other day, Cora tried to zerbert daddy's belly - she pressed her lips together and made noise so they vibrated while pushing her face against him. Then she looked up and grinned and squirmed with delight. She knew it was funny, and they both ended up in giggles.

Cora wants BBQ
We got to celebrate Mother's day with the family this evening. The boys came together to provide BBQ chicken, grilled zucchini, and a green salad. Cora wanted to see what everyone was doing, so Grammy let her sit in her lap. We laughed when we realized she wasn't watching other people, there was one dish in particular that caught her attention. Her eyes widened, she wiggled with excitement, and she drooled... Aunt Lindsay's BBQ was the most interesting thing at the table!
How appropriate that my Kansas baby would be drawn to BBQ!

Uncle Ben and Cora
There's not much sweeter than feeding a baby. It's such a basic need to be able to fulfill, and there's little to do but stare into each others eyes.
I love that my kids get to spend time getting to know my youngest brother Ben. He has taken a giant leap of faith, moving to Kansas in a sudden grand adventure. And other than his sister not warning him about the monthly tornado siren testing... He's settling in with such grace. He got a raise and promotion on his first day at work too! So proud!

And so it begins...
A daughter.
Already she is so full of personality. And so very different from her brother.
I'm looking forward to learning who this little girl will grow up to be.
