Daddy & Cora

These two love each other so much! The other day, Cora tried to zerbert daddy's belly - she pressed her lips together and made noise so they vibrated while pushing her face against him. Then she looked up and grinned and squirmed with delight. She knew it was funny, and they both ended up in giggles.

Playtime

It was such a nice day outside on Saturday.  Daddy and the kiddos enjoyed some time in the back yard while I ran errands.  Alex started by watering the garden, then moved on to the play table.  Cora was very happy to watch all the action (check out the cutie hat cousins sent us, thanks Carli and Izzy for sharing!)

And you know I couldn't resist including the picture the dog photo bombed... oh, Sharkie!  

6 Months!

5 Months!

I just realized that we took this photo... but I never posted it!!  Wowee.  She's almost sitting up on her own.  Rolling from back to front like a champ.  Occasionally rolling from front to back.  Push ups and wiggles are getting her a little ways, and she can pull herself around to reach a toy to the left or right.  She loves bananas and sweet potatoes.  We tried squash, but it didn't work for us.  We'll try it again at a later date.  She's about 16 pounds of rolly-poly happiness.

She was very curious about Daddy's hat and then she was very happy when she got it!

Cora wants BBQ

We got to celebrate Mother's day with the family this evening. The boys came together to provide BBQ chicken, grilled zucchini, and a green salad. Cora wanted to see what everyone was doing, so Grammy let her sit in her lap. We laughed when we realized she wasn't watching other people, there was one dish in particular that caught her attention. Her eyes widened, she wiggled with excitement, and she drooled... Aunt Lindsay's BBQ was the most interesting thing at the table!

How appropriate that my Kansas baby would be drawn to BBQ!
